Procedure

1. Create an Opportunity

  • Manual: CRM → Opportunities → Create Opportunity → fill in details → Create
  • CSV Import: CRM → Opportunities → Import → upload CSV → map fields → confirm import
⚠️ Note: Updating existing opportunities overwrites mapped fields. Always back up before importing.

2. Edit an Opportunity

  • From List View: Action menu → Edit Opportunity → Save

3. Close an Opportunity

  • Methods: Drag-and-drop to Closed Won/Lost, click the buttons in the profile, or manually update Stage field.
  • When marking as Lost, select a reason; all changes log activity notes for reporting.

4. Set Up Pipelines

  • Click Set up a pipeline → Add Stage or remove (except default stages).
  • ⚠️ Warning: Closed Won/Lost stages cannot be removed.

5. Manage Multiple Pipelines

  • Click Create Pipeline → add as many as needed.
  • To remove, click Delete after reassigning opportunities.

6. Automate Opportunity Actions

  • Example A: Automatically create opportunities from Webchat → AI identifies service, creates opportunity, sends follow-up SMS, creates task.
  • Example B: Trigger campaign when opportunity reaches a stage → starts predefined campaign automatically.
  • Example C: Move opportunity when a meeting is booked → automation moves opportunity to "Appointment Set."

Best Practices

  • Back up opportunities before bulk imports
  • Regularly review pipelines to remove stale deals
  • Link every opportunity to a contact for full visibility
  • Assign an owner to opportunities
